As one might expect, there is an engineer at number one, but the Lt. That said, it is actually a pretty usable layout for many players. I find that the bridge officer seating is the weakest link on this ship. Of course, there are not any special BOFF seats either. This ship predates the wide-spread use of universal bridge seating and as such there are no universal chairs on this boat. The ship can equip dual cannons but with that sleepy turn rate I’d shy away from the doubles. It has solid shields much better than the average for cruiser type ships that were available in 2012. The ship has a fairly quick turn rate for the era in which it appeared in STO but perhaps a tad sluggish by modern standards for a battle cruiser. It is equipped with eight weapons bays in the classic 4/4 layout. The good news is that the upgrade is FREE, so that makes this Marauder a true bargain. The Marauder will need to be upgraded to T5-U to be truly comparable to the T6 Nandi. If one wishes to have a low-cost experience with a tad less grinding you can use roughly $8 worth of Zen to acquire this ship by purchasing things like lock box keys or upgrade modules and selling them on the exchange and then buying the ship there. I saw several under 35M today! Obtaining 30 million EC is not a difficult thing to do for “free”. There are many players that want the “free experience” and the D’Kora is now selling routinely in the 50-60 million EC price range. Even as stale as she may seem, this is still a solid ship. I don’t own one of those so I’ll stick to the Marauder for today. The Nagus version was available as a secret freebie to a very select few players and also offered as a short-term random award. ![]() There is a T6 Nagus version that is perhaps the rarest ship in the game. Make no mistake the D’Kora is a dated ship now. Yes the Marauder was the first ship to offer on board, Dabo, Mail, Bank, Exchange, and even a Trader. The D’Kora offered Federation profiteers the opportunity to fight like a Klingon in a real battle cruiser or hosting dignitaries with a full suite of space station services just off the bridge of the ship. There was no Legacy of Romulus expansion, that was a year away as well. The Avenger was still more than a year away. This was a period of time where federation captains had little to no battle cruiser options. This is an old ship dating back to the spring of 2012. This was the first Ferengi ship offered in STO as a playable experience and early on it was well received. Which Ferengi ship is the most profitable for your toon and which is leaving latinum at the table?Įither of these sibling ships will help you hear the ‘profit in the wind’, so let’s get to it. I have reviewed the Ferengi D’Kora Marauder and the Ferengi Nandi, but now it’s time for a Head 2 Head for capitalists.
